  1. “Prop. 200”, “House Bill 2013″ and “SB1070″

    0 = Arizona
3 = USA/ Our Constitution/ We the People of the United States

We are a country that is ruled by the Constitution (with all Amendments), and the Declaration of Independence, not by the majority of the day. When the uneducated do not know the principles in these documents, therein lays the problem in losing, so no one should be surprised when the dullards lose in court after being smartly challenged.

Last month of October 2010, our Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned Arizona’s requirement that people show proof of citizenship to register to vote or the 2004, “Prop. 200”. In the month of July 2010, our U.S. Federal courts have found the so called State of Arizona hate filled legislation namely “House Bill 2013″ and “SB1070″ Un-constitution (So much for the intellect of Jan Brewer, “Did you read the bills you signed?”). But we all know that they will go crying to the Supreme Court of the United States, please, please, please go. We will fight you in Arizona, any other state, and yes in Washington DC. We will not tire, we will not be silent and we will persevere, I promise you.

In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme of clans; the Baggers, Birthers and Blowhards (people who love to push their beliefs and hate on others while trying to take away the rights of those they just hate) and that’s who they need to extract from their party if they real want to win in November. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”.

I know the proponents of this law say that the majority approves of these laws, but the majority is not always right. Would women or non-whites have the vote if we listen to the majority of the day, would the non-whites have equal rights (and equal access to churches, housing, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, schools, colleges and yes water fountains) if we listen to the majority of the day? We all know the answer, a resounding, NO! You were all wrong then and you are wrong now!

I hope that every American, regardless of where he lives, will stop and examine his conscience about this and other related incidents. This Nation was founded by people of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all people are created equal, and that the rights of every person are diminished when the rights of one person are threatened. All of us ought to have the right to be treated as he would wish to be treated, as one would wish his children to be treated, but this is not the case.

Today we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free. In a time of domestic crisis people of good will and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics and do what is right, not what is just popular with the majority. Some people comprehend discrimination by never have experiencing it in their lives, but the majority will only understand after it happens to them.

    • We are a country that is ruled by the Constitution (with all Amendments), and the Declaration of Independence, not by the majority of the day. When the uneducated do not know the principles in these documents, therein lays the problem in losing, so no one should be surprised when the dullards lose in court after being smartly challenged.

      – Actually, we should be ruled by the Constitution, but in many ways the “supreme law of the land” has been ignored. The President assumes powers that are not given to him by the Constitution, the Congress oversteps its given powers almost daily, and judges legislate from the bench instead of upholding the laws that are in place. So, to say that we are ruled by the Constitution is not necessarily true. And, while the Declaration of Independence is an important document to understand the viewpoint of the leaders of what would be our nation at the time, but it doesn’t give any rules that our nation follows.

I would be interested in who you deem “uneducated”. Is it anyone that disagrees with you and your views? How do I know if you understand the principles in the documents? From the message you left below, I honestly have to wonder. Not only that, it’s not the uneducated that I am worried about as much as the self-professed elite who wholeheartedly neglect the Constitution in favor of their own (often liberal) ideologies. For someone who is making an effort to put forth an ‘educated’ argument, the name calling doesn’t help you…

Last month of October 2010, our Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned Arizona’s requirement that people show proof of citizenship to register to vote or the 2004, “Prop. 200”.

      – I’m interested in why this is such a big victory? When I voted, I had to show a current state driver’s license. This is not a big deal to me. I am glad to show that I’m a U.S. citizen. The only people that would have trouble with this are those who are not citizens. And the striking down of this law doesn’t erase the fact that everyone who registers to vote swears they are a citizen under penalty of perjury (National Voter Registration Act). In other words, those who are here illegally are still subject to punishment for being liars on their voter registration form.

In the month of July 2010, our U.S. Federal courts have found the so called State of Arizona hate filled legislation namely “House Bill 2013″ and “SB1070″ Un-constitution (So much for the intellect of Jan Brewer, “Did you read the bills you signed?”).

      – Last time I checked, it was definitely called Arizona. You call it “hate filled legislation” and “Un-constitution(al)” but you give no specific examples of where this is true. So, am I to assume that this is just a tirade against those who disagree with you? You attack Mrs. Brewer’s intellect instead of the bill itself. Why? From what I’ve seen of Mrs. Brewer, she is not the ignoramus you seem to think she is. Not only that, she seems to have read the bill and have the ability to explain it while you don’t and are reduced to names and other derogatory comments….

But we all know that they will go crying to the Supreme Court of the United States, please, please, please go. We will fight you in Arizona, any other state, and yes in Washington DC. We will not tire, we will not be silent and we will persevere, I promise you.

      – It is their right under the Constitution and other laws since then to “go crying to the Supreme Court”. I find it amusing that you profess to stand for the Constitution while attacking those who exercise their rights to express views opposed to yours. If you don’t mind my asking, who is “We”? It doesn’t seem to be “We the People”. Is it the illegal aliens that you support? You talk of fighting someone everywhere. Who are you planning on fighting? The people you spend all of your time name calling? The ones who are just as free to express their support of the Bill as you are to oppose it? What do your promises mean to me? Am I to take this as a threat?…

      – Again with the names? It seems that you can hardly take a breath or write a paragraph without spewing the very hate that you profess to oppose. Where is the purpose in this? Doesn’t it undermine your very position? You attack the law calling it “hate filled legislation”, but then say much worse in attacking those who disagree with you. Can you not make a point without it (not that you’ve made one with it either…)? As I said above, you have the right to express your opinion, but please remember that it is just that: YOUR OPINION. As you’ve noticed, there are numerous others that don’t share that opinion. And those people, like it or not, seem to be the majority in the entire country and not just in Arizona.

You say that the Republican party has been taken over by extremists. Can you give specific examples or is this just something you overheard from someone else? You call the people derogatory comments, but I assume that you think that it’s ok when it’s not against you, otherwise it’s “hate speech”, right? It’s ok for you to “push your beliefs and hate” on me and others like me because it’s “right”, but you can’t stand it when others do the same to you. Seems a little hypocritical if you ask me….Can you tell me where the rights of people have been taken away? If you’re referring to legal citizens, I would love to see examples. If you’re referring to illegal non-citizens, then it’s a different story. I find it extremely hard to believe that all of the people who support SB 1070 are the haters that you make them out to be. The truth is, according to federal law, anyone who is here illegally is subject to punishment and deportation as in the IIRIRA. This has been law since 1996. Where were you then?

If I may ask, which November are you talking about? I am going to assume that it’s not this past one seeing as this was posted 12 days after the elections…

You say that you’re “not coming out”. Does this mean that you’re here illegally? Does this mean that you’re not going to abide by the same laws you profess to support? Are you not going to follow the rules of the country because you disagree with them? How does this give any credibility to anything you’ve said? You profess to support the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence but seem to know very little about them, how they came about, or why they were created. Surely you’re not trying to compare yourself to the founders of our nation? If so, I respectfully say that you are very wrong.

      – So what you’re saying then is that the majority is always wrong? Do the mistakes of majorities past mean that the majority is wrong this time? Would you say the same thing if the Arizona law was opposed by the majority instead of supported by it? Can you show how the majority is wrong in this case? Can you show that the majority wouldn’t be making a mistake to not support this law? While I am getting older, I wasn’t around when those other things were done. You say that I’m wrong now, but throughout the entire comment, you’ve given no evidence that anyone who supports the Arizona law is wrong constitutionally or how my personal beliefs are right or wrong. You just continue to make unsupported claims. Anyone can do that….

      – Are you talking about legal Americans? Or those who are living in this country illegally and calling themselves Americans? You call on me to “stop and examine my conscience” about this and other incidents. What if I have? What if, after looking at the bill, looking at the Constitution, checking my conscience, and studying scripture I’ve decided that supporting the law is the right thing to do? Then what? I am then one of the many people you hate? You say that this nation was “founded by people of many nations and backgrounds”. Are you sure? The people who founded this nation were actually from a very small part of the world. They were from England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. These were the people that originally settled the land so they could worship God freely. They also did so to get away from the rule of the king. Their backgrounds were largely Protestant Christian denominations.

You say that the country was founded on the principle that all people are created equal, and for once, I agree with you. So, tell me then, how does denying illegal immigrants entrance into the U.S. deny them their “rights”? If the U.S. didn’t have any way for someone to become a legal citizen, you might have an argument. But it does. Whether you like it or not, there are legal channels for someone from outside the U.S. to become a citizen, and many people throughout the history of the country (including my great-grandparents) were proud to take the time to follow the rules of the country to become citizens. They didn’t expect to be handed citizenship because they believed they were entitled to it. You talk about the rights of all people being diminished when the rights of one person is diminished and you sound like you are opposed to this. Why then do you support the diminishing of my rights and the rights of others who are legal citizens in the U.S.? How can you support the diminishing of our rights in order to give privileges to those here illegally. Again, this seems hypocritical.

You also seem to confuse a right with an entitlement. If you will read the Declaration of Independence (which is where it talks about the rights of people), it talks about how we all have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (we are not guaranteed happiness). What’s interesting is that you seem to ignore the very next sentence which talks about the fact that governments are instituted among men to secure these rights and those governments receive their power from the consent of the governed. This would include the state government in Arizona and the federal government of the U.S. This would give the majority at least some power to determine which powers the government has and how to use that power. The governed have said for decades that those who are here illegally are to be sent back to their country of origin. This is not to prevent anyone from having an opportunity to live and enjoy this country. It is to preserve the very privileges and freedoms that these people seek so that they are here to enjoy for future generations. To fight against this is to completely disregard the very documents you say you support. To say that you will fight these things reveals that you aren’t really concerned about the “rights of all”, just the rights of those who agree with you….

      – Again, I have to ask who “we” is? If you are trying to say that you represent the people of the U.S., then I would disagree. The majority of the people support the law in Arizona, and others are proposing to adopt the same type of legislation. You say that you are involved in a worldwide “struggle” to protect the rights of all who wish to be free. What are you doing about the freedom of women in Muslim dominated countries? What are you doing about the freedom of Christians in those same countries to worship how they want? Are you fighting the same “struggle” in South Africa, or in China, or in Congo? You say that you struggle to protect the rights of all who wish to be free. I wish to be free; so why do you directly oppose my rights? Why do you attack the things that I think will not only protect the rights of Americans, but help more people to enjoy those rights? You call this a domestic crisis. Is it? Is the fact that the U.S. is following its own laws in deporting illegal immigrants a domestic crisis? What about the large amount of drugs being smuggled in by illegals? Is that a domestic crisis? What about the violence on the border caused by those activities? Is that not a crisis? Should the U.S. not protect the rights of its legal citizens in order to provide the rights of citizens to those who are not? It seems that you aren’t sure which side you’re on or, more likely, you are trying to confuse me as to which side you’re on.

You say that people of “good will” and “generosity” should be able to unite to “do what is right” regardless of party and politics. Who defines good will? Is it your definition or mine? Is good will allowing illegal immigrants to continue to flood into the country and burden down the systems in this country? Is that being generous to the law-biding citizens who are already here? Who’s definition of right are we using? Yours? By right do you mean “what I deem is right” or what the law says is right? If it’s the first, how is that generous or in good will when it denies the rights of so many and ignores the law? If it’s the second, then why are you fighting so hard against it? What happens when what is right coincides with what is popular with the majority? Do we go along with it or disregard it as wrong?

As with the majority of your post, you make very large assumptions as to the people that you oppose. You seem to think that I haven’t experienced discrimination or that others don’t know what it means to be discriminated against. Are you sure? Or is that just passionate (but false) rhetoric meant to replace truthful statements or evidence?

Our nation is what it is because of the Christian principles it was founded on. The fact that we have turned away from God and those principles is the basis of why we are where we are. This has been compounded by the large amount of history that has been revised to erase much of that Christian influence. The fact that the nation has allowed people from all over the world to come here and live doesn’t mean that those people automatically have the rights of that country just because they want to be here. It wouldn’t work in any other country, especially in Muslim countries. Not only that, the fact that you support the illegal actions of immigrants is a slap in the face to all of the immigrants who took the time and put forth the hard work to become citizens the legal way. These people sacrificed to come here and follow the process so that they could become Americans. They didn’t forget their heritage, but they didn’t try to change America to be like where they came from.

If you truly believe like you say you do, and wish to struggle for all who want to be free, then you would hold a completely different stance than the one you currently support. You would understand the documents you say you support as well as the boundaries those documents set forth….both physical, and legal. The fact that you don’t, and don’t seem to wish to, says a lot about what you are actually trying to accomplish….
