Sometimes you have to spank your kids. I was spanked and I believe
I am a better person for it. I don't hate my parents for spanking me,
and I don't feel like I was an abused child. I never spank more than 3 hits, always on the butt and never with a belt. (hand only) and it seems
to straighten my boy who is 3 now up quick. I don't do it often, but when I do it's because he truly needs it and won't listen to reason.
Empty threats will work just the opposite of what your trying to accomplish. So if you count to 3 and there still not obeying. Get to whopping that butt! Period.

Greetings in Christ Jesus and our Lord Jesus Christ with our heavenly Father. I briefly read through a few articles. Continue to preach Christ Jesus and that He lives. The last trump is ready to go forth to the gentiles.

Danny,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope that you'll be back. It is EXTREMELY important to not only believe, but to understand why you believe and whether or not what you believe is true. All roads do NOT lead to heaven. 1 Peter 3:15 says that we are to be ready at all times to give a reason for the hope that we have and what we believe. While studying scripture should be our main focus (it is everything we need....2 Tim. 3:16-17), we should also know about other beliefs so that we can explain the differences and help people to understand that no other religion offers the forgiveness of sins like Christianity does...

Thanks again and God Bless!

Thanks for an awesome blog. I am doing a very short study on this topic and it has helped me a great deal. I am a christian and simply trying to ground my faith in Jesus Christ.

Once again, thank you.

Seith,

Islam is not the religion of peace that many promote it to be. Even a cursory reading of the Quran shows that it is built upon violence and murder thinly veiled as "submission" and "spiritual struggle". In Islam, you have to do good works to earn salvation (which the Bible says you can't do) and even if you do the good works, there is nothing guaranteeing that you will enter heaven. There are a number of verses in the Quran that talk about killing the infidels which amounts to anyone that is not a Muslim, but especially Christians and Jews.

If you are truly a Christian, then you have the truth. If you have been born again, then the Holy Spirit abides in you and you can ask Him to help you recognize the spirit of truth and the spirit of error (1 John 4). Islam denies the Lord Jesus Christ as the Messiah and Savior. To them he is nothing more than a man. That couldn't be further from the truth.

I pray that you will fight the good fight of faith and trust in our Lord Jesus to keep you as you face the lies found in Islam!

Very inspiring post! It is important that we follow after God's heart. We should do things in accordance with His words. Instead of expecting everything to be perfect, we should set our goals for more realistic expectations in order for us to be happier and less stressful.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. The more that I study the Word of God and see that many things really are black and white, the more I desire to preach the truth of the gospel to those who are within reach, whether they agree with me or not. It seems to have become more about acceptance and comfort than truth and salvation.

I can only hope that the church sees its mistake and repents and sends labors out into the world with the true message of Jesus Christ - a promise of salvation from hell and the cleansing of our sins by the blood of the spotless Lamb of God! Hallelujah!

HI...I have to say I enjoyed your article and agree with what you have said. Those who know the gospel well will preach it as it should be preached and as the truth. The problem is people do not want to hear the truth. I think most people don't focus on Jesus' resurrection and live in the "moment." They want something good, or some reward, "now" and don't think ahead to God's promise of the Heavenly Kindgdom. People don't realize that we do not deserve anything but death (this sounds harsh but I don't mean it to). God created us to love and obey Him. His commandments are not unreasonable and given to us out of His love. Yet for the past 3,000 or more years people have continued to reject God and God's word. So why should we expect God to hand us wonderful things without some cost. People continue to sin and turn away from God. Then they get angry that God isn't helping them. Unfortunately that isn't how it works. God will forgive instantly all those who repent. And those individuals have the promise of Heaven. But they need to believe and emminate the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ's death (the most horrible suffering imaginable)save us from our sins. God didn't have to send his son to die. But he did. Not only that he asked his son to suffer severely (offering us a new convenant and relationship with God) but he also at that time offered us Heaven. What more can we ask for? We don't deserve this!

I agree with the posting above that God always hears our cries, knows our weaknesses and promises rewards "ONLY" for those who believe and follow Him till the "END." Yes we will be blessed and receive God's grace. But God didn't say our life would be easy. Life isn't easy anyway. Personally I think it's better to preach the truth of the Gospel and take the risk of having a hard life, than not preaching at all and still facing a hard life. At least with preaching the truth their can be saved souls and our lives will not be wasted.

Thanks for letting me give my opinion on your blog.
